👏🙏

But a Yoruba would say: Ẹ ṣeun.

The Yorubas put great premium on Respect. And since you do not know my age, you should use the more respectful form Ẹ instead of Ó which you use for your mates of people younger than you!

That's one of the beauties of the Yoruba language!

👏🙏👏

Please, it was just a correction. No apology was called for! I am sorry if I gave the impression.

Which, in other words, would entail emotional intelligence. Just my two cents. Happy New Year, Sir.

As the holy texts says, "No one is good except God." Perhaps you meant that we should be reasonably productive and forthcoming human beings who are mindful of others' feelings.

Please, as an Agnostic, I don't have holy books.

I supplied a wiki definition of Omoluwabi.

A properly brought-up Omoluwabi will beat a good Christian or Moslem or Buddhist any day!

I like that you share both the Yoruba and English transcriptions.

You are a Yoruba, you should know that Yorubas don't have hardcore definitions on such things.

But a cultured and properly brought up Yoruba ought to know the meaning of Omoluwabi.

Abọ ọrọ là nsọ fun Ọmọluabi...

As per your profile, you are a university faculty member, so we shouldn't waste our time in pedestrian discussions.

We should have better employment for our time.

As a Yoruba, you should know that we are more practical than theoretical.

Some things are not taught in our culture. No one teaches you dancing, drumming, farming, etc.

No one teaches you religion, philosophy, or how to find your way to God, salvation, or anything else.

Yoruba people consider those things personal. You learn and adapt them as you go through life.

Your life is your personal journey to be lived and discovered as you choose.
