If the truth be told, Westerners have never, in their entire history, demonstrated that they are interested in anything that does not promote their selfish interests and massage their considerable egos
One of the most unfathomable things about Europe (when I sojourned there) is that I see people who constantly create unnecessary perpetual anxieties, which they spend most of their waking hours trying to fix!
Take the case of what they call the Economy. Europeans constructed an economic model that’s so unnecessarily wasteful that it bothers on pure insanity!
A third of food produced in the EU is said to go to waste.
Another example: it is cheaper to buy a brand-new inkjet printer in Europe than to buy its small cartridge. So, people simply go out a brand new printer when their inks run out; the old printers end up in landfills.
Obsolescence is said to be consciously built into every machine and equipment so that people can keep on buying. So, 2-3 years old fridges, TV sets, and washing machines end up in landfills.
They tell us that this grows the economy!
Of course, the owner of IKEA became a billionaire by selling pure junk as furniture! European landfills are filled with junk that makes owners of corporations laugh to their banks.
After exploiting the earth’s resources (mostly from foreign lands) to satisfy their insatiable gluttony, the Westerners will then don their garbs of hypocrisy, and deafen our ears with their obstreperous shouts of wanting to save the Earth. Their Think Tanks, NGOs, and whatnots will go to town to breathlessly shout how they are out to save the world by protecting the environment!
The sycophantic and idiotic stenographers who masquerade as journalists lack the elementary critical agencies to ask simple questions, like why Europeans did not curb their insane appetite for gluttony instead of wasting their time and efforts to save nature!
Europeans dismissed Indigenous people as primitive savages because they considered nature as a sacred gift and did their best not to cause unnecessary injury to the natural world.
Concomitantly, Europeans promote themselves (people whose very essence is anti-nature) as the summit of Civilised Beings!
Today, we see Europeans shout themselves hoarse over what any sentient being ought to know as a matter of course; the Earth does not belong to us. They then created a new study they call Ecology which awards fanciful degrees after students’ heads are crammed full with bs about protecting the environment!
Per wiki:
"Ecology (from Ancient Greek οἶκος (oîkos) 'house' and -λογία (-logía) 'study of')[A] is the natural science of the relationships among living organisms, including humans, and their physical environment. Ecology considers organisms at the individual, population, community, ecosystem, and biosphere levels. Ecology overlaps with the closely related sciences of biogeography, evolutionary biology, genetics, ethology, and natural history.
Ecology addresses the full scale of life, from tiny bacteria to processes that span the entire planet. Ecologists study many diverse and complex relations among species, such as predation and pollination. The diversity of life is organized into different habitats, from terrestrial to aquatic ecosystems.
Ecology is a branch of biology, and is the study of abundance, biomass, and distribution of organisms in the context of the environment. It encompasses life processes, interactions, and adaptations; movement of materials and energy through living communities; successional development of ecosystems; cooperation, competition, and predation within and between species; and patterns of biodiversity and its effect on ecosystem processes.
Ecology has practical applications in conservation biology, wetland management, natural resource management (agroecology, agriculture, forestry, agroforestry, fisheries, mining, tourism), urban planning (urban ecology), community health, economics, basic and applied science, and human social interaction (human ecology).
The word ecology (German: Ökologie) was coined in 1866 by the German scientist Ernst Haeckel. The science of ecology as we know it today began with a group of American botanists in the 1890s.[1] Evolutionary concepts relating to adaptation and natural selection are cornerstones of modern ecological theory."
The question the idiotic European environmental activists didn’t pause to ask themselves is: why are they expending all their energies and resources on trying to do what every NORMAL human being should do - respect nature and try to live in harmony with it?
All that Europeans want to do is to conquer and dominate.
No, Mr. Environmental Activist, you don’t own nature. Consider yourself as a tenant and learn how to behave accordingly.
Do this and it becomes unnecessary to go gung-ho on saving the planet!
Learn to cure or, at least, temper your ego, everything else will fall into place!

I used to be able to buy powdered laundry detergent in a cardboard box at my supermarket. Then they stopped carrying it, offering only liquid detergent in plastic bottles. I asked the clerk why. She "explained" that the plastic bottles are recyclable so its "better" for the environment.
It's hard to believe how stupid & gullible they think we are, to pay more money for less detergent/mostly water (which our machines will add anyway), "recyclable" plastic (made from oil, unlike renewable, recyclable cardboard), more expensive per load to transport.
So I just buy my detergent at a different store.
