It requires great leadership, courage and aspiration plus the logos, ethos and pathos you note. State leaders are often propped up by other forces that provide financial and/or forceful influence. Plus, even the best initiatives will sometimes fail. I wish nothing but the best for African states as they evolve. I see the importance of a unified Africa in empowering the continent to self-determination, as I believe that Kwame Nkrumah described. Also, thank you for weaving the proverbs into the narratives. That one about chiefs being restrained from enacting laws when angry is a universal truth.
