Until recently, the man French President Macron publicly embraced was the chief head-cutter for ISIS, Jolani.

The US placed a $10 million bounty on his head.

Now, all his sins are forgiven.

As I keep on repeating ad nauseam, my problem is not with any foreigners but with us in Africa.

We refuse to look behind the false smiles and develop the ability to appraise global geopolitical matters critically.

Many of us vibrate with gratitude when Westerners ringed our pseudo countries with military bases and pretend to be helping us to fight terrorism.

Asking simple questions like who finances, trains, and provides both the logistics and the critical intelligence that enables groups like Boko Haram to cause havoc in West Africa are beyond us😭
