The Teachers from the West

[The decision by the French president, Emmanuel Macron to send military instructors to Ukraine prompted this piece.]

Apart from being amused, I am always intrigued by the temerity of Westerners to go outside of their domain to preach and to pretend to teach things that they simply do not know or those that no one can find in their societies.

Imagine a Westerner trampling around Africa to teach Christian Brotherly Love.

Any honest person knows that no place in the Western world oozes love - brotherly, sisterly, or whatever.

We have these Western evangelists roaming our villages in Africa to preach not only love but also purport to teach us about forgiveness. They tell us to forgive our trespassers as our Father in the sky forgives those who trespass against it, him, or her.

This is ridiculous because we read how in the Bible Jehovah was an implacable tyrant who broods no opposition. Jehovah did not spare anyone who questioned its authority or challenged any of his incomprehensible fiats.

What happened to them telling us to turn the other cheek? Where in its entire wretched history has the West ever turned a cheek?

Did his supposed son, Jesus fare any better? Not when we read how he denounced and cursed people.

In Matt 21:12-13, the peaceful lamb of god got physical: 12 Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. 13 “It is written,” he said to them, “‘My house will be called a house of prayer,” but you are making it a den of robbers.”

Jesus even cursed a fig leaf, Matt. 21:18-22: 18 Early in the morning, as Jesus was on his way back to the city, he was hungry. 19 Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered.”

So, the loving son of a Merciful universal god was angered because a tree did not bear fruit in season.

Coming back to earth, where do we find Westerners forgiving their enemies?

We have many Westerners, including the Dutch, who galivant around Africa in their shiny Jeeps purporting to teach Women Empowerment and other fanciful slogans.

This is just ridiculous when one sees these people who came from societies that cannot sell a bottle of water or milk without showing a woman’s breast.

How people who display naked women in glass windows in the Red Light District of Amsterdam and other major Dutch citizens found the audacity to pontificate on women's dignity beats me.

How about those of them who say that they are in our land to teach democracy, human rights, freedom of speech, and press freedom? One will have bellyache from laughing at the hypocrisy of these people. A popular online Commentator, Scott Ritter, was yesterday unceremoniously pulled out of his scheduled flight to Moscow by agents of the American government. We know how the Western media world has hollered themselves hoarse were this to have happened in say, China.

The US still lags behind the EU in imposing fascist rules, but it appears to be playing serious catchup. The fact that the EU has banned many news media, plus the fact that most European countries are intensely surveilled by intrusive CCTV cameras never appears to dampen the enthusiasm of EU citizens to go and teach other people about freedom.

Now, we read how the French are sending military instructors to go and teach Ukrainians how to beat the Russians.

This is another patently ludicrous idea.

The last time the French fought against the Russians, they had their asses whipped back to Paris.

It took the German army about six weeks (10 May - 25 June 1940) to defeat the French and occupy the country until it was liberated in 1944.

Of course, no one will tell you that African troops were at the forefront of the troops that took Paris but were forced to the background in the ensuing celebrations. The racial sensitivity of the French will not allow the sight of Negroes as their liberators.

Given the experience of the over two-year epic war with Russia, one would have thought it was Ukrainians who should be teaching the French something about multi-domain and intense warfare.

But the shortish, no, make that Lilliputian Napoleon-wannabe, former bank teller with the brains of a sub-zoological species, but with an ego the size of the Seine River, intends on puffing up his tiny chest and acting important on the global stage.

Unfortunately, the ever-pliant MSN never asked this unthinking former bank teller what exactly the French military would bring to the equation in the Russian-Ukrainian War.

They also did not ask him when the parasitic French last won a major battle outside of their colonial interventions to steal other people's resources.

It is like people in the West live in a parallel universe.
