The Joke is on you, Nigeria!

Per this report from @sputnik_africa, the defense minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria called for the country to be given a permanent seat on the UNSC.
"79th UN General Assembly: Nigerian defense minister calls to provide the country with a seat at the UN Security Council
"Nigeria has remained unequivocal in its commitment to international peacebuilding and security," Mohammed Badaru said, addressing the Summit of the Future, a high-level event in the General Assembly program, during the interactive dialogue themed "Enhancing Multilateralism for International Peace and Security."
Badaru highlighted the crucial role Nigeria has played in peacekeeping across Africa and elsewhere, including missions in Côte d'Ivoire, Liberia, Mali, Sudan and other countries.
The minister also stressed the need to strengthen Africa's armed forces to combat terrorism and regional instability."
Given the current parlous state of the Nigerian state, this is a cruel joke, and one must begin to wonder in which parallel universe the gargantuanly corrupt otiose elite misruling the country exists.
What do they serve in the drinks of these hopelessly inept and corrupt politicians in Nigeria that made them so out of tune with reality?
While Nigeria of the 1970s and early 1980s could lay unchallenged claim to African leadership, this is no longer true.
Why is this simple fact eluding Tinubu and his gang of brigands?
Under his inept leadership, the subregional organization ECOWAS lost three of its key members, and this joker wasted his country's scarce and dwindling resources to send a minister to New York and made a laughing stock of himself and his country!
Does Tinubu think that the rest of the world is unaware of Nigeria's pathetic socioeconomic situation?
It's sad to see the abysmal levels to which the stock of the Nigerian state has plummeted. But, then, didn't our Elders caution that how we lay our beds is how we will sleep on them?
We are the architects of our misfortunes!
