Thank you for sharing this, Femi! Many of those quotes resonate with me as well. I wrote this the other day and posted it on Facebook:

Of all the religions I have studied, tried out for a while, or dabbled in, the only one that has ever made sense to me is not even a religion. And thank goodness because I don't like religions, which tend to be repressive and full of hypocrisy. The Lakota had no religion, just a spirituality framed by the understanding that everything is connected. The Great Spirit is not in their image, but in the image of all things, all living beings. I believe that connectedness is what will save the human race, if it is possible to be saved. Connectedness can only be had with maturity, which includes openness and grace, and with your humanity still intact.
