It is unfortunate that a person of Paul Craig Roberts’ caliber doesn’t appear to know the meaning of chattel!

One would have thought any serious scholar would cast his net wide in order to do justice to any important subject he chooses to address. 

Alas, Paul Craig reduced himself to a charlatan by quoting copiously from texts that only support his racial prejudice.

What people like Paul refer to as Slaves are what are commonly called war captives. There were strict norms that governed how they were treated in traditional Africa.

Most importantly, war captives were not regarded as personal properties; you simply don’t own human beings. Of course, Westerners like Paula Craig will never be able to comprehend this.

Until the Trans-Atlantic slavery, war captives were not branded and auctioned off like cattle.

Many war captives in Africa rose to prominent positions, including becoming prime ministers and even kings. 

Although he paraded himself as one serious scholar, Craig Roberts probably never heard of King Jaja of Opobo. The effort to do basic research on Africa is probably too much for his White Supremacy mentality. 

Unfortunately, his stupid narratives will become staple standards in Western academia. The jaundiced Western media will toast him to pieces!
