How the Ukrainian War upended Everything

I did not know that I would live to see the arrogant leaders of the Zionist entity in Palestine cowered in bunkers in fear of attack from any quarter. I never knew that the day will come when the almighty USA will be pleading with Iran instead of bombing the shit out of it! I never imagined, even in my wildest dreams, that I would live to see an end to the 500+ years of Western domination of the world.

But, these are the realities of the world in which we live today.

VV Putin, the man who cosmically destroyed the 500+ year Western Civilization (Devilization might be more appropriate).

We certainly live in very interesting, even epochal, times. Who would have predicted that the five hundred years of Western domination would unravel with staggering speed before our eyes, in real time?

Who could have predicted that the Mighty American Empire and its intimidating NATO would be destroyed single-handedly by V Putin?

Who could have believed that the country, derided by Obama as a mere gas station with a nuclear weapon, would shut up the obstreperous noises Western leaders made as they arrogated to themselves the right to decide which leader must rule which country, lest they send their armada to topple whoever decides to challenge them?

But, here we are.

Per a Yoruba story, Tortoise, on visiting his in-laws, was asked when he would return and was said to have replied: When I am disgraced.

While the story is an apologue – a pretty fable meant to convey a meaningful lesson, it should serve as a useful lesson for the wise.

Let’s begin with these Yoruba proverbs: Igbéràgà ni nṣiwàjú ipàrùn / Pride goeth before a destructing.

Mo ti fo tihin, Mó ti fó tihin, mó lé fó tọ̀hun, ni ọmọ Ólógbó fi nkó si kàngà / I have scaled this one here, I can scale that one over there is the reason why the Kitten end up inside the well.

Let’s go Latin: Quos Deus vult perdere, prius dementat / Those whom God would destroy, he first makes them demented.

The world will certainly be a very good place if Westerners will temper their arrogance with some modicum of humility. But given their history and their psychological cum cultural dispositions, this is not going to happen in our lifetime.

How grand it would be for the world if Westerners were to shed their stupid beliefs that the rest of us await them to light our paths to civilization?

We will have fewer wars, violence, and wanton destruction of human lives. For a people that constantly praise themselves over their supposed rationality, it is beyond belief that Westerners do not see a link between their destruction of other countries and the stream of refugees streaming into their countries and upending their social fabric - look at France, look at the UK in recent days.

As Professor Samuel P. Huntington told us in his “The Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of World Order (1996)“: The West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion (to which few members of other civilizations were converted) but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence. Westerners often forget this fact; non-Westerners never do.”

The Taliban, having won a most decisive if unexpected victory over the entire NATOstan declared the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

So went puff Western attempt to impose their wretched political system on a tribal land knitted together by a complex clan system the Western one-track mind is incapable of comprehending.

None of the much-touted intelligence agencies and the expensive Thinktanks the West set up to promote its agenda saw the Afghan debacle coming.

Forty-six years after Saigon, the world was treated to another spectacle of ignominious evacuation of Americans from a Third-rated country on which it has sought to impose its way of life.

Before the arrogant Westerners arrived with their sophisticated and hugely expensive armada of military hardware in their so-called war against terrorism, the Taliban never controlled the whole of Afghanistan.

Thanks to the bright boys of NATOstan who spent $1-3 trillion (depending on who is counting the beans) and twenty years in a futile attempt at constructing an Afghanistan in their image, today the Taliban control the whole country except for a small patch.

This was how Russian former security guru, Nikolai Patrushev put it: “Over the 75 years of its existence, NATO has conducted more than 20 major military operations.

In addition, individual countries of the alliance have repeatedly participated in non-aligned military coalitions formed by the United States to satisfy its global ambitions in various regions of the world— in Vietnam, Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, and dozens of other armed conflicts.

Therefore, the bloc’s attempts to disown the existing facts of the destruction of cities and countries, the extermination of thousands of civilians, and even more so to silence them, sounds absurd. I won't delve into the bloody history of NATO, but it needs to be known to understand the essence of the alliance as a constant, long-term source of danger, crises, and conflicts."

No, we are not Putin apologist or whatever tag Westerners like to put on whoever disagree with their Exceptionalist narratives.

Despite the incessant din Westerners make about their democracy and free speech, I didn’t see much of either during my sojourn in Europe.

A good example is the blanket ban the EU imposed on foreign media that refused to toe the path of Western Orthodoxy. And, Europeans merely accepted the diktat without a protest or a legal challenge.

Paradoxically, it is Westerners who gallivant around the world to preach and lecture about Freedom of Speech, media rights, and whatnot.

I will never understand the failure of Europeans/Westerners to see the vast hypocrisy in their conduct.

What I see in Europe today are a sheepish people who lap up whatever their ruler imposed on them without a whimper of protest. George Orwell would have been proud!

Of course, citizens troop to polling stations to cast votes but, truth be told, the whole thing is one huge farce as the political actors do not provide credible alternatives. The much-touted independent media in the West is a farce; their journalists function as mere stenographers happily regurgitating official press releases.

A Yoruba proverb says Ọmọ ti kó bà dé Ókó ẹ̀lómiràn ri, ló mà sọ wipé kó si Ókó tó tóbi tó ti Baba oun / It is the child who has never been to another farm that will say that his father’s is the biggest.

The Western Hegemon continues to make the same egregious mistakes across the world because they are simply too arrogant to discover humility.

The racial arrogance of Westerners will never allow them to pause, reflect, and change gear in their dealings with non-Europeans simply because that will demand of them a recognition of their equality with the rest of humanity.

This cannot be an easy task for a people who has spent the last six or so centuries fabricating nonsensical narratives about their superiority and their Exceptionalism.

I see in Europe self-absorbed and self-reverential people who like to dance to their self-generated lullabies.

Few Europeans are interested in what happens outside their borders, and fewer of them care to learn anything about other cultures.

That fact will, however, not stop them from proclaiming their values as the best in the whole wide world, one that must be promoted to the level of praxis and imposed by force of arms if necessary.

Of course, Westerners will not bother to tell us how they arrive at their conclusions of theirs being the best system; they just take it for granted.

For people who are so fixated on data sets, Europeans strike one as a bunch of ignoramuses who arrive at conclusions that are not premised on solid empirical evidence.

A good example is in aesthetics where Europeans will boldly and audaciously proclaim one of theirs as “The most beautiful woman in the world.”

Westerners spent good money to build fanciful military hardware which they touted as the most technologically advanced in the, so enamored did they become with the high-tech weapons that they forgot how to fight. The Taliban cradled only RPGs and AK-47s but they managed to whip the asses of the over-armed American and NATO forces.

Now despite boasting about their overpriced shiny armaments that cost trillions of dollars, Russia, with a fraction of the budget, managed to comprehensively defeat the Collective West. This defeat would go down in history as one of the Most Celebrated, and V Putin would be celebrated as among the Greatest of Empire-Slayers.

I do not pretend to be a Military Strategist or a competent analyst, but even a child can deduce that the Collective West has, in the case of their misadventure in Ukraine, arrived at what in Chess is called “Zugzwang.” This is how Wike defines it: “Zugzwang (from German 'compulsion to move'; pronounced [ˈtsuːktsvaŋ]) is a situation found in chess and other turn-based games wherein one player is put at a disadvantage because of their obligation to make a move; a player is said to be "in zugzwang" when any legal move will worsen their position.[1]

Although the term is used less precisely in games such as chess, it is used specifically in combinatorial game theory to denote a move that directly changes the outcome of the game from a win to a loss. Putting the opponent in zugzwang is a common way to help the superior side win a game, and in some cases it is necessary in order to make the win possible. V. Putin has put the entire West in Zugzwang. Gone are the arrogant predictions of “Ukraine is winning the war.”

It appears that the collective West is finally at Stage Five of the Kübler-Ross scale on Grief (Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance). Once garrulous politicians and their media supporters have noticeably calmed down and, faced with realities on the war front, have reconciled themselves to the stupidity of their folly in the doomed Ukraine Project; they have accepted their fate. The only thing left for them is to find palatable ways to tell their constituency why they were so illiterate, so uncultured, so shallow in thinking, and so lacking in history, geography, geopolitics, and more importantly, basic economics knowledge.

The absence of raw materials plus the lack of an industrial base should have made it obvious to the cretins in power in the West that we no longer live in the 15th century, we no even longer live in the 1940s when Westerners can brazenly send armadas to steal the resources of other people.

Things must be very serious indeed when the Doyen of Global Diplomacy, Russia’s FM Lavrov, was forced to say this: If the West wants to solve the Ukraine conflict on the battlefield, "so be it," Sergey Lavrov.

For a man noted for his cultured manners and unflappable decency, this emphatic declaration by the Russian Top Diplomat meant the Russians had had enough of the infantile visceral animosity of the Collective West.

The big picture is that the West still appears not to be ready for a serious conversation. Lavrov lamented: “They have made a choice in favor of a showdown on the battlefield. We are ready for this. And always… In particular, France and Germany are still struggling with the demons in their attics — the crushing defeat France suffered at the hands of the Russian army in the Napoleonic war and the destruction of Hitler’s Wehrmacht by the Red Army.”

Whatever happens, the World will not be the same after the de facto Russian victory in Ukraine becomes de jure.

Those of us in Global South could raise our glasses in a celebratory toast, but we should take advantage of the new Geopolitical environment to craft our path to our vision of the future we would like to have, without interference from those who have oppressed for the last five hundred years.

I tried, through my writings, to warn Europeans and their African collaborators that the next generation of Africans will not put up with the type of nonsense that my generation tolerated!

Of course, instead of listening and trying to change their tack, they consider voices like mine as emissions from radical monsters!

Now, they have to deal with the unraveling of their neocolonial project in Africa, with the Sahel Region leading the way. With the examples of the Sahelian states, the question now is: for how long does the West think that the rest of Africa will put up with the corrupt reprobates they curated and installed in Africa in the name of democracy?
