With full-blown Trump fascism raging in the USA, do we still have schools in Africa offering courses in American Democracy?
In this age when White Supremacists no longer hide their intentions to do us in, how pathetically obscene it would be for any African scholar to continue to evangelize on the so-called beauty and virtues of Western Democracy.
For years, yours truly have consistently advocated for Africans to retrace their roots and try to connect with their past in order to create an African Civilizational Space, without which Africa cannot compete with the world on an equal basis.
Unfortunately, the heirs of colonialisn and agents of neo-colonialism who curators in the West have helped into power in Africa have steadily fought to maintain the status quo ante. They often argue without irony that we are universalists and the world now lives in a globalized village. They did not tell us what our continent contributed to that globalization.
Today, the world of our West-worshipping intellectuals in Africa has been punctured by the narcisstitic bully the Americans installed in their White House. The vulgarity of the man alone is enough to induce vomit.
The shameless African intellectuals who choose to be unthinking mimicries and wasted our lives teaching stupid Western ideas post-independence should apologize for their naivete and stupidity. The African intellectual lazybones watched their Chinese and Iranians rescued their socuties from the vestiges of European colonialism while they spent their time and lives regurgitating BS from Western Ivy Leagues.
